Westlake Ace Opens in California

Westlake Ace Hardware, owners and operators of 124 stores across the Midwest from its Kansas City, MO headquarters, are moving into the California market.

According to news reports, Westlake is starting with two stores at former Orchard Supply Hardware locations in Fresno and Woodland.

The Fresno Bee has the details behind the 50,000-square-foot location.

The Orchard Supply Hardware brand, which opened in 1931 in San Jose, was acquired by Lowe’s in 2013. Lowe’s announced in August of 2018 that it would close all of the OSH stores by February 1, 2019. At the time there were 99 OSH stores in California, Oregon, and Florida.
